ICC-NGOs Strategic Meeting

The Hague, 3-6 October 2011

From 3-6 October NPWJ took part in the ICC-NGOs Strategic Meetings taking place in The Hague.

During the Strategic Meetings, NPWJ advanced several policy priorities, including the ICC becoming a more field-based institution, outreach and public information, the budget and a completion strategy for the ICC.

On 6 October, NPWJ took part in the diplomatic briefing organised by the CICC for Hague diplomats. focused on field presence in general and in relation to Libya, outreach and PI. The international community was called on to continue supporting in the country the work of the Court, CICC and civil society in the fight against impunity.

No Peace Without Justice non‑profit organisation founded by Emma Bonino and born of a 1993 campaign of the Transnational Radical Party that works for the protection and promotion of human rights, democracy, the rule of law and international justice, and undertakes its work within the following main thematic programs: the international criminal justice program; the program on gender and human rights, with particular reference to the ban on Female Genital Mutilation; the Middle East and North Africa Democracy program; the campaign against human and environmental devastation in the Amazon.
