Alvilda Jablonko has coordinated the FGM Program since October 2006. Prior to joining NPWJ, she worked at the Open Society Institute, in the Publications Department and subsequently as Program Officer in the Arts and Culture Network Program, where she coordinated projects undertaken throughout the network of Soros foundations in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Mongolia. She has also worked as an Election Observer for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe/Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and for the United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Regional Studies, with focus on International Relations, from Columbia University, and her Masters of Arts, focusing on Public International Law and International Organizations, from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
