Born in Livorno (Italy) on 24 May 1955, Gianfranco Dell’Alba graduated in Political Science, M.A. in Advanced European and International Studies from the "Institut Européen des Hautes Etudes Internationales". He was Program Officer of the United Nations Development Program in Geneva and an official at the European Parliament (1980-1994). A Member since 1979 of the TRP, he was elected for the first time to the European Parliament in 1994 and re-elected in June 1999 for the “Lista Emma Bonino”. During his 10 years service as an MEP, he was Vice-President of the Group of the European Radical Alliance and member of the EP Conference of Presidents. He has been Board Member of several international non-governmental organisations. Since 1998, he has been the Secretary General of No Peace Without Justice. He is currently the Head of Cabinet of Emma Bonino Ministry of European Affairs.
