In this page you can download the audio-video file of the inauguration of the new office of the Italian NGO Foundation "Vela". The inauguration was attended by Emma Bonino, NPWJ founder, and Antonella Dentamaro, a NPWJ member. NPWJ long-term friend and partner Khady Koita, also partecipated to the event and gave a speech about her work. Khady created GAMS, an organisation which fights against female genital mutilation, since 2000 she is the president of the European network for the eradication of FGM (Euronet), as you all know, and she co-founded and is the president of the association “La Palabre”. She also recently published a book: “Mutileé”, in which she tells her story and denounce the practice.
