The Democracy Assistance Dialogue (DAD) initiative is implemented together with the Governments of Italy, Turkey and Yemen, together with the non-governmental partners Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV, Turkey) and the Human Rights Information and Training Centre (HRITC, Yemen).
NPWJ’s local partners also include the Sisters’ Arab Forum for Human Rights in Yemen, the Arab World Centre for Democracy Development & Human Rights “United for Human Rights and Democracy” (UniHrd) in Jordan, Ibn Khaldun Center for Development Studies in Egypt, the Moroccan Organisation for Human Rights in Morocco, and the “Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center”, involving other governments and non-state actors from the Region, the EU, and other international partners including in particular the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), the Forum for the Future, and United Nations agencies.
Current funding is generously provided by the Government of Italy, through IDEA, by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF).
Additional co-funding is being sought from other donors.
