Laura Le Roho

Intern

Laura just graduated her master's in Human rights and Humanitarian Law at the University Paris-Saclay in Paris. She holds a bachelor's degree in law and English from the University of Tours during which she had the opportunity to study political science in the University of West Georgia (USA) for two semesters. Finally, she holds a master's degree in international and European Law from the University of Toulouse I Capitole. 
Her master's thesis was about the fight for democracy in Hong Kong facing the Chinese communist regime and the complex combination of socialism and communism in Hong Kong's constitutional system.
 
In 2019 , she worked as an intern in a legal firm in Rennes assisting a lawyer in the appeal process for asylum application before the National Court for the asylum right in Paris.
In 2018 she volunteered in the young branch of Amnesty International in Toulouse working on advocacy and promotion of human rights. Her work consisted in organizing events and conferences on specific topics related to human right violations and collecting signatures for the different petitions trough social media advocacy or through actions on the field.
Then in 2020 she volunteered in a center for asylum seekers. Her role was to guide and assist asylum seekers in their legal proceedings with the Administration.
Her interests are human rights law, international criminal law, humanitarian law, and asylum law.
