Rachele Antonia Gianfagna


Rachele Antonia Gianfagna is a four-language speaker Italian lawyer holding a Law Master degree (LUMSA University, Rome) and a LLM in European Union Law (Institut d'Etudes Européens, ULB, Bruxelles). Her Master thesis, written in English, was on "Migrations: the Principle of Solidarity and the Chess game between EU and Member States' Competences", while her LLM thesis, written in French, was on "Mineurs étrangers: tous les enfants sont-ils égaux en droit? L'Europe face à l'intérêt supérieur de l'Enfant et à la Non-discrimination".
She concluded the 18 months Italian traineeship as a lawyer and took the written part of the Bar exam in December 2018. Meanwhile, she did an internship, as Migration expert, at ACP Young Professionals Network in Brussels. Moreover, she worked as a lawyer and interpreter for unaccompanied and separated children and as an interpreter at the Local Commission for International Protection in Italy.
She is particularly interested in issues regarding EU Migration Law, Women's and Children's Rights and Anti-Discrimination Law and Justice.
