Anna Piovan

Intern

Anna holds a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Trieste, where she graduated with honours. She is the author of a thesis on Legal Pluralism and Women’s Rights in the Indian Constitution. She is currently undergoing the last year of the master's degree in Legal Studies at the University of Bologna, with a specialisation on Global and Transnational Legal Culture. Thanks to the Erasmus+ Project, she undertook two exchange programmes one at the University of Liège and the other at the University of Bordeaux.  
In 2018, she volunteered for Movimento Federalista Europeo. She is now representing the University of Bologna Law faculty in the Nuremberg Moot Court Competition in Germany.  
Mother tongue Italian speaker, Anna is fluent in English and French. Her main fields of interest are International and European Criminal Justice and Human Rights Law. She is writing her final dissertation on International Criminal Procedure. She is also deeply concerned with environmental justice in the Amazon region and indigenous’ rights, as well as women’s rights.
