Gamaliel Kan


Gamaliel holds a European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA) from the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) in Venice, Italy. He spent his EMA second semester at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Queen’s University, Belfast. His Master’s dissertation analysed the current standard of the defence of duress under the Rome Statute.
During his studies, he participated in the Nuremberg Moot Court, arguing a fictitious case before the International Criminal Court. His last completed internship was with Transparency International Malaysia. He is interested in the topic of international criminal law and transitional justice.
