SUMMARY:“Towards the Libyan Ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture”
DESCRIPTION:Tunisia\, 13-14 December 2021 \nNo Peace Without Justice (NPWJ)\, in collaboration with the National Council for Public Freedoms and Human Rights-Libya\, the Libyan Bar Association\, DIGNITY\, the National Mechanism on the prevention of Torture-Tunisia and the Human Rights\, Rule of Law and Transitional Justice/UNSMIL\, is organizing a workshop on « Towards the Libyan Ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture » to be held in Tunis on 13-14 December 2021. \nThe aim of the Workshop is to identify key challenges and opportunities for ratification and implementation of the OPCAT in Libya\, with a view to developing a road map and plan of action for such ratification and implementation. \nExperiences of Tunisia\, Palestine\, Morocco\, Denmark and France will be presented by representatives of their national prevention mechanisms.
