Nicola Giovannini

Public Affairs and Media Coordinator

Nicola Giovannini serves as Public Affairs & Media Coordinator for No Peace Without Justice. He is also the curator of Non c’è Pace Senza Giustizia weekly radio program broadcasted on Radio Radicale.

Prior to joining No Peace Without Justice, he worked from 1999 to 2004 as Senior Political Advisor of MEP Maurizio Turco, who was President of the Radical MEPs of the Lista Bonino. He has also worked as a post-graduate researcher on European Welfare and social issues at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and he served, from 1999 to 2011, as part-time assistant at the Department of Political Sciences of the ULB and Scientific Collaborator of the Centre of Political Theory directed by Prof. Jean-Marc Ferry.

Nicola Giovannini also serves as President of Droit au Droit (Right to Law), an international non-governmental organization committed to the promotion of human rights and rule of law in judicial and penal procedures. He is the author as well as translator of numerous books and articles on political and legal theory, as well as co-editor of “The Use of Solitary Confinement in European Prisons” (Bruylant, 2004).

Nicola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with focus on International Relations as well as a Master of Arts in European Law and Political Theory from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He also holds an Associate’s Degree in Philosophy from the ULB and a Certificate in Translation from the ISTI. He is fluent in French, English, Italian and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Dutch and German.
