DEMUS Peru releases summary of the main observations adopted by the CEDAW Committee to Peru

DEMUS Peru, a leading women’s rights organization in Peru that has partnered with NPWJ and other Peruvian and international organizations for the alternative report submitted to CEDAW for Peru’s examination during its 9th periodic review in February 2022, has published a summary of the main observations adopted by the CEDAW Committee to Peru. The Observations are presented by different categories: positive observations; observations related to the Sustainable Development Goals; the role of Congress; and observations surrounding main areas of recommendations and concern by the Committee.

CLADEM Peru and allied organizations and partners that joint forces to submit the shadow alternative report to CEDAW have also compiled, in a resourceful brochure, a summary of the main recommendations made by these civil society organizations in advance of Peru’s ninth review before the CEDAW Committee (15-16 Feb 2022).
